The Secret for Weight Loss™ program (“SWL”) was developed by respected health professionals. However, SWL isn’t a medical organization and the SWL program is not intended as medical advice. Results may vary based on each patient’s physical health, diet and exercise. Causes for being overweight or obese vary from person to person. No individual result should be seen as typical. Whether genetic or environmental, it should be noted that food intake, rates of metabolism, and levels of exercise and physical exertion vary from person to person. This means weight loss results will also vary from person to person. There is no guarantee of specific results.

We also urge you to get periodic medical checkups. Weight loss can create physical changes that should be medically monitored. Weight loss is not advised for people with a BMI below the healthy range. Medical monitoring is especially important for people with a known medical condition. The SWL program encourages a healthier pattern of eating and the development of healthy lifestyle habits; however, it is not intended to treat any illness or disease.

  • If you are being treated for a medical condition, taking prescription medication, or following a therapeutic diet to treat a disease, it’s especially important to speak with your health care provider concerning your participation in the SWL program. Any modifications made to the program by your health care provider should be followed.
  • The SWL program prohibits participation in its weight loss and wellness plan for children under the age of 18 and individuals who have been diagnosed with or treated for anorexia nervosa or bulimia nervosa in the last year.
  • You may not enroll in a SWL program if you are under 18 or if you are pregnant.
  • The SWL program is designed for a safe rate of weight loss. Not following the program as designed may pose the risk of developing health complications associated with rapid weight loss.
  • We recommend you discuss your goals for participating in the SWL program with your health care provider.
